Both kids had dentist appointments last week where we found out that the crown that Luke had done last winter is infected! That's not supposed to happen...I wasn't too happy. Well, Luke spent 2 hours in the dentist office this morning - they decided to replace the crown to try and save the tooth rather than pull it and put in a spacer. When he came out he was shaking like a leaf with a rather green tint to his normally tan complexion...the nurse said he got sick while he was in there. My poor baby! And they didn't even tell me until it was all over! She said that they needed to see him again in a couple of months to "check things out" - she didn't seem overly confident that it was going to work out. It took them longer than they thought it would. Luke was pretty upset. He told me that there was something in his mouth and they didn't understand him when he was trying to tell them he was going to throw up so it happened while he was laying there practically upside down and he got it all over his face - which was crusty by the time he cam out - and on his shirt. Did I already say, "My poor baby!"? He said he wanted me to come in there too and they didn't understand that either. Probably ignored his request is more like it!
Oh, well. He is still alive - and in VERY much pain. I plan on taking him to Wal M@rt after I drop Jozie and Ayianna off at VBS to get some Tylenol - apparently you can use it and Ibuprofen together. And hopefully he is feeling better by tomorrow!

Ooohhh poor Luke!!! That is miserable! I sure hope it works out...what a mess! I hate that the dentists don't let parents back there!!! Yes, Tylonel and Ibuprofen are awesome when you interchange them...
I hope he feels better, poor boy! We fortunately haven't had any dental problems and have a great dentist who lets me sit in while Eric gets his teeth cleaned and even lets Eric sit in while I get mine! He works alone without a hygenist so I guess it allows for more space and it helps he is a dad with 2 young kids.
Awww that stinks! Poor kid!!!
We're allowed back with our kids at their dentist, it's a pediatric dentist and they have it all set up for parents to be with their kids. I can't imagine not being able to be with him, specially if he asking for you!
